Jan Carley, Master Certified Coach, Inner Coach of Barbershop, Lions Gate Chorus’ Gold Medal Mindset Mastery and Performance Coach, Author and Podcast host of JAN TALK, has been transforming the singing experiences of barbershoppers worldwide since 2007.

Her coaching has supported dozens of choruses and thousands of Sweet Adelines in building chorus culture, developing mindset mastery, productively flourishing through transitions, and accessing and empowering their own unique brilliance.

Her books, Harmony from the Inside Out and The Overtone Effect have transformed the singing (and non-singing) lives of Sweet Adelines world-wide. Newly crowned Queen of Harmony Debbie Cleveland of Dynasty Quartet said about Harmony from the Inside Out : “I used up an entire highlighter while reading and know I will be using these principles in a very intentional way in my own life and performing…”

Still reeling from the thrill of her Lions Gate Chorus’ Gold Medal Win in the Nov. 2023 International Sweet Adeline Chorus competition in Louisville, KY, Jan is now even more passionate about how her gold medal mental and creative coaching can bring far-reaching generative results to your chorus experience.

While Coaching in person is ideal, Jan’s webinars, keynotes and individual director and leadership team coaching can also be delivered anywhere in the world, by Zoom!

Contact Jan for a free consultation to imagine what might make the most difference for your chorus, region or director’s joy and success moving forward. Jan will be your possibility coach and creative inspiration for your inner path to harmony and peak performance.

Jan’s weekend workshop was both inspiring and engaging,. It was a timely and impactful experience, leaving members with valuable insights for their long-term planning”  -Bec Hewitt, Education Coordinator, Region 34 Director’s School 2025, Sydney, Australia

Creating and incorporating core values into our culture has made such a positive impact on our chorus. This investment continues to manifest and we are so thankful to have Jan on our team! ”  – Vera Crouse, Director, Greater Richmond Chorus

Her empathy, joyfulness and infectious enthusiasm helped us embrace who we are so that we can choose a fulfilling and inspiring path forwards.” -Jo Oosterhoff, Master Director, A Cappella West Chorus

Jan was our preferred choice as keynote speaker for our UK and Netherlands Virtual Convention. Her inspirational and encouraging words were warmly received and her enthusiastic and thought-provoking presentation helped to instill a sense of positivity as the post-CoVid world beckons.” – Alyson Chaney, Education Coordinator, Region 31 UK and Netherlands

"We have music and sound and visual coaches come to our choruses but most of us have not – until now – considered what impact inner coaching might have on the membership and, more specifically, the leadership. I am so grateful that we found Jan and for the help she has provided us. It is our plan to continue this approach to fully rounded coaching."
